Structural laminated veneer lumber (LVL) is an engineered wood product used for load-bearing applications in construction, such as beams, columns, lintels and posts. It is made by bonding thin layers of boards together with strong adhesives, resulting in a highly durable and dimensionally stable product.
1. Small logs can be made into large size LVL products.
2. High strength: LVL lumber has been carefully engineered to be stronger and more consistent than traditional solid wood beams. This means it can support heavier loads with minimal deflection.
3. Dimensional Stability: LVL timber is less likely to warp, twist or bend than traditional solid timber beams, resulting in a more stable, horizontal structure.
4. Versatility: LVL lumber is available in a wide range of sizes, thicknesses and lengths, making it suitable for a wide range of construction applications.
5. Sustainability: LVL lumber is typically made from fast-growing trees, and the manufacturing process produces less waste than other wood products. Therefore, LVL is considered an environmentally friendly building material.
6. Easy to Install: LVL lumber is easy to cut and install using traditional framing methods such as nails and screws. It is also compatible with many types of connectors and hardware, including studs and hangers.
LVL flanges are manufactured in accordance with AS/NZS 4357, excellent performance, adding imidacloprid into phenolic glue, pest control performance can reach H2S grade standard. Fuqing Structural LVL is a product certified by the Engineered Wood Products Association of Australasia (EWPAA),which is JAS-ANZ certified. It is also certified by Bsi/CMI/JAS/FSC/PEFC. The formaldehyde emission of Fuqing structure LVL is lower than 0.5mg/L(equivalent to E0 grade).
Structural LVL has a wide range of applications in the construction industry, can be used to make beams, columns, floors, roof truss and other building structural components, furniture frames, tables, chairs and so on.
